12.05.1999 commissioned to do a logo for the Noah's Ark Shelter. The organization is a part of Baptist Medical & Dental Mission International and is based in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
12.17.1999 Posted logo. The life buoy reinforces the nautical theme and gives the logo a round shape to match the BMDMI logo. The red bands coincide with a cross in the background and another cross forms a window on the ark. Warm tones of gold and brown reflect the warmth this ministry extends. The brightness of the red, gold, and blue hint at more primary colors which are associated with children. The crimson, crosses, buoy, and ark represent the message of salvation being shared. The ark, buoy, and "wood" colors also symbolize the physical sheltering provided for these homeless children.
01.22.2003 Reposted ZIP file containing the logo in various graphics formats so that printer can produce T-Shirts. The native format is CDR (CorelDraw 8), but vector exports to CDR version 7, Adobe Illustrator (AI), Encapsulated Postscript (EPS), Windows MetaFiles (WMF), MicroGrafix (DRW), and Enhanced MetaFiles (EMF) are included. Both color and B&W versions are included. Also, included are the unuseable (for T-Shirts) bitmap/raster versions (TIF, GIF, etc.). I've also created a Macromedia Freehand 10 version.
