Quince Rocking Chair Project

In April 2015 I wanted to see if I could decorate one of the furniture pieces my wife was refurnishing as part of her business (visit A Brush Across Time for information). I selected a solid classic rocking chair with a back panel of suitable size. I chose a base of Annie Sloan Pure White chalk paint since a white surface plays a big role in the luminescence it lends to Prismacolor paintings. I wanted a floral subject and chose English quince as my inspiration, with a blue titmouse sitting on its branches.
